March 18 - 22

Assignments listed here represent the "Plan" for the week.  Plans of course are subject to change as needed, so this should not be considered the last word on what will take place in class or will be assigned for homework.  When plans do change however, the changes will be reflected here (hopefully by the evening of the day in which they are known to exist).

This week we continue Unit 4: Moment of Truth

Tuesday

Thursday

  • Students will begin class with a look at the objectives for the day and the expectations for independent reading work.

  • Students will then examine a model 1st draft of the Mini-Project and apply the Rubric to it.  The score and the contributing attributes will be discussed.  The second draft of the project will then be examined and the revisions that contribute to a stronger project discussed.

  • Students will then continue the work and research on their own projects, which are due by Monday.

  • WIN time will enable students to continue their work on their projects or work on their independent reading work.

  • Students will then discuss project concerns that were noticed during yesterday's class.

  • Students will then take another look at the 2nd draft of the model project and the evaluation rubric.  Students who feel they would benefit from feedback on their work will share a copy of their project with a classmate who will use the rubric to evaluate their work and give them feedback to help them improve it.
