March 20 - 24 Assignments listed here represent the "Plan" for the week.  Plans of course are subject to change as needed, so this should not be considered the last word on what will take place in class or will be assigned for homework.  When plans do change however, the changes will be reflected here (hopefully by the evening of the day in which they are known to exist).

		Friday

			-

Students will begin class the Friday Funny Bone
activity.  This is an inferential activity where students
examine a Gary Larson cartoon, draw conclusions about it, and

out of the image, but also make it funny.

			-

Students will then be introduced to
the mini-project based on this week's readings.  Students will
choose between two options.  Option one is a short analysis
essay examining how the informational article reflects the central
message of "Casey at the Bat."  Option 2 is an infographic
making the case that a particular athletic skill or accomplishment
is the most difficult in all of sports.  Projects are due on
Wednesday of next week and students will have Monday and Tuesday to
			work on them in class.

			Homework:
Students who have completed their work for the week have no
additional homework.  Students may want to work on their
Mini-Projects if they don't think they will be able to finish
them on the two days reserved for working on them next week.
